I have learned so much by reading and investigating nutrition. It’s all lead me to discovering plant-based nutrition, as paramount for life-long health and vitality. It is something that I have brought into my house, and this is the way we eat now. Kids and husband included. While 2 out of the 4 may stray when we go out (which isn’t often), I feel good knowing that most of their meals are plant-based.
If you are interested in learning how to change the way you cook, I highly recommend enrolling in www.rouxbe.com‘s professional, plant-based course. If you’re looking for less commitment both time wise and financially, check out their Culinary Rx program. The experience I gained was life changing.
The following are books that I recommend highly, have read, and own. They each include a link to Amazon.
This one is a way to learn which flavors pair well together, and is not a cookbook per se.
Health, Nutrition, and Food Politics: Missing from this list, because I couldn’t link it, is the China Study. I highly recommend The China Study for anyone interested in the research behind plant-based nutrition.
